Site Insurance Policy Summary
Site insurance provides cover for the whole project from start to completion. We provide flexible periods of cover ranging from three months to two years, and you may purchase additional policies as required. It is designed to be taken out from exchange of contracts on your plot or property and continues right up to the point you take the property into full use.
What your policy covers
Cover for your materials and all the works in progress
We will cover your materials or kit from the time it becomes your responsibility, any temporary works and all the works in progress right up to the point your property is completed and taken into full use.
Existing structures
If your project involves the conversion or reuse of an existing retained element, it will be covered for the reinstatement value you provide, along with all the new conversion or renovation works. We can also include specified structures on site that do not form part of the finished property but are your responsibility.
Your liabilities
Public, products and employers liability is provided as standard, giving you essential protection for liability incurred from persons on site, damage to property, contractors, utility companies, highways and so on.
Plant, tools and equipment
Should you need cover for the equipment and tools you own or hire, these items can be included and you will gain protection against physical loss or damage as well as any continuing hire charges.
Site huts and caravans
A residential caravan, static or site hut and your personal possessions can be included if required. This is especially important if you are living on site.
Employees tools and personal effects
This aspect of the policy will protect you if your employees tools and personal effects suffer physical loss or damage whilst on your site.
Full reinstatement cover
We provide cover on project sizes of any reinstatement value, right up to £25 million.
